An integral part of Quest’s programs that demonstrates the high level of personal attention
and counseling seldom found in the relocation field.
|
- Conducted immediately upon transferee/recruit’s arrival
- Presentation of the Quest Information Packet & Thomas Guide
- Discussion of lifestyle issues: transportation, education, housing, recreation, etc.
- Additional topics for international transferees: Social Security application, U.S.
health care system, credit and banking issues, etc.
- Large, laminated area maps are used as visual aids
- Involves one to two hours of face-to-face relocation counseling
|
Well prepared
with the information gathered during the pre-arrival phone interview with the transferee,
a Quest Relocation Counselor will meet face-to-face with the transferee upon his/her arrival
to Southern California. Quest’s Relocation Counselors are not realtors; they are relocation
specialists who live and breathe the Southland. They provide the transferee with first-hand
information about communities, housing, and education in a neutral format.
|
The meeting is designed
to begin the process of settling-in, answer the transferee’s many questions, allow the
transferee and his assigned Relocation Counselor a chance to interact with each other
face-to-face to formulate a game plan for the next step of home finding.
|
At the end of the
Orientation meeting, the transferee is assured of Quest’s commitment to assist throughout
their settling-in process.
